About Us!

our mission...
Discovering Hidden Gems is dedicated to improving the quality of life of at-promise youth through recreational and educational experiences.
how do we help?…
At DHG we believe every child deserves to shine. Every program offered targets the development of skills to help each child reach their full potential. Every event is created to implement community engagement and inclusion.
our focus…
Our focus is 'At-Promise Youth" . The term At-Promise Youth shows the raw potential that each individual can access within themselves if treated with promise. We focus on our youth's abilities, creating access, community engagement, and inclusion

DHG Spring/Summer Programs
Green Playdate
A program offered by DHG to children ages 7-11. Participants learn about the current state of our environment and what they can do to help improve it. They also have the opportunity to take action by picking up the litter at playgrounds in their neighborhood. After their hard work, participants are rewarded with free playtime and fun structured activities in a beautiful clean space. These young environmentalists are making a difference while inspiring others to do the same.
DHG Fall/Winter Programs
Lounge Fridays
Weekly evening group to provide our youth access to recreational activities that target the development of interpersonal skills and positive self-image. Activities include Game Night, Spoken Word, Yoga class, paint night, ect…
Sister Circle
Sister Circle program. It is a youth-led empowerment program serving teen and college age young women in underserved communities in the MetroWest area. It was created to provide a space for our adolescents to discuss relevant issues affecting them including culture and identity, and relationships. The group meets biweekly for two hours during the academic school year as well as an annual conference. The goal of this program is to empower girls to discover and be proud of who they are. Help them lean into learning more about the culture & communities they are a part of and come from. By encouraging them to explore their identity and emotions, we aim to influence the next generation of leaders, and problem solvers.
